Composed in June 2019, Mountshannon, Clare in Ireland by Slavek Kwi using recordings from live nocturnal sessions (4-7/6) and various field recordings collected in our garden (including extract from 7th birthday party of Kwi.jr), in Tasmania, South Africa and Brazilian Amazon.

Here is a very interesting work. While a quick listening in front of the screen suggests a simple recording of the wind, a good headset reveals a skillful work of incredible complexity. The artist seems to have tamed the wind to borrow all sorts of rhythms and artificial directions, like a sort of macroscopic airflow. Also note the presence of these fabulous calm drones, evoking our need to breathe before the chaos of unusual winds suddenly resume! Masterful !!! drone2805

Another wonderful album of the unique Philip Sulidae! With this particular touch to train us, using natural sounds, in a cold and strange universe that slides gently towards a silence, which it breaks with textures a little rasping, strident or chaotic. A great album to listen absolutely, maybe the best! I have a huge favorite for the fourth track, "Valley Floor, Nights and Frogs" which is delicious. drone2805

As a maniac for grave sounds and metallic sounds, I am of course full of happiness! The squeaking of the wheels of the trains and the horns of the boats are omnipresent and for me it is wonderful. The work is nonetheless full of subtleties with these arrangements that suggest a kind of titanic dialogue between these metal monsters!
