about

where are we going?

evolution of aMt : . . . & related “projects” :..:

Artificial Memory Trace is a moniker of Slavek Kwi (which is artist's name of “singular entity00” = s0n0ent*_alfa00, which is pseudonym of …) Slavek is operating as Kwi since 1980 and establishes Artificial Memory Trace 10 years later in collaboration with Mathias Janssens (active within aMt approx.1990-1994 as m2w).

[* s0n0ent = temporary sound entity is an intermediary agent navigating in between projects fluently.]

Artificial Memory Trace is a science-fiction / fantasy mega-project exploring the relationship in between ones perception and the reality using sound medium as abstraction for communicating the experiences and “ideas”.

Everything recorded is a form of memory: “artificial memory” to “capture” a moment of the present, perceived sometimes as “meaningful” at the time: stored glimpses of experiences imprinted as
magnetic dust, clusters of digital files: sounds - ambiances - atmospheres - images … photographs & films … words written-spoken-thoughts … whatever form is appropriate for the medium …

In this sense, aMt is an audio-museum conserving sonic artefacts as highly questionable documents of fleetingly contemporary, but mostly of -storic and of unstable character.

Information for PR & reference purposes:
AMT collaborated and entered in creative relationships (in one way or another) with number of prominent artists such as Ward Weis (Belgium), PBK (USA), Brume (France), Darius Cuita (Lithuania), Porya Hatami (Iran), Eric La Casa (France), Pierre Berthet (Belgium), David Michael (USA), Francisco Lopez (Spain), Linda O'Keffee (Ireland), Simon Whetham (UK), Pierre Jolivet (Pacific 231 - France/Ireland), Radboud Mens (Netherlands), Vivienne Dick (Ireland), Aine Phillips (Ireland), Boris Van Der Avoort (Belgium), Baudeoin De Jaer (Belgium), Tarab (Eamon Sprod - Australia), Tony Whitehead (UK), Vlastislav Matousek (Czechia), Jennifer Walshe (Ireland), Jurgen Simpson (Ireland), Kyung-a Ryu (Korea/Belgium), Koji Tano (Japan), Tony Di Napoli (Belgium) ...

Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. - T.S. Eliot

uni.Sol_
United For Well-Being of Solar System & Everything Else

uni.Sol_initiative is aspiring to be all-inclusive and ever-evolving project exploring the potential of extrasensory communication in purpose to facilitate deeper connection in between all entities. An intention to explore and implement the idea of freedom, to enhance an awareness of human relationship with surrounding environment through practice of listening. A hope to create stimulating sensual, spiritual and aesthetic experience. A vision of all-encompassing universe welcoming unconditionally all Sounds - regardless of origin, system of thinking and beliefs.

unisol.bandcamp.com

Fundamental framework: engaging simultaneously (=in the same moment) across various time-zones in different locations (around the globe and beyond) in abstract inter-play via sound-media and similar. Strategy of engagement is free for interpretation.

Meet Sonic Entities!
uni.Sol_ was tested by many creative guests since its inception, some participants attended only once and some individuals from different corners of Earth became regular contributors and inevitably leading forces of uni.Sol_, just to credit / name a few for example: Stephen Bradley (USA), Kecap Tuyul & Les Astragales (France), Ludovic Medery & Dominik T'jolle (Belgium), David Stalling & Diarmuid MacDiarmada (Ireland), Jan Kruml (Czechia), Alexey Agapov (Russia), Sayori Izawa (Japan-Germany), Piet Schen (Germany) and MANY more amazing artists. Comprehensive list of all up-to-date participants (in non-hierarchic way) is available here: unisol.bandcamp.com/album/introduction-all-you-need-to-know-about-uni-sol

uni.Sol_ is primarily accommodating activities connected with direct extrasensory communication and interconnectivity ideas (=unfolding at the same time in different locations), sessions are organised more or less every two weeks, coordinated and hosted by singular entity00 (=Kwi). However uni.Sol_ has also Time Travel Section, which deals with anomalies of dis-synchronicity caused by misinterpretation, misunderstandings and time-zones shifts. TTravel Section is a portal,
gateway to thtimepeace (time manipulations) department.

thtimepeace
is a parallel project of uni.Sol_: this offspring accommodates and researches various timemanipulations and cultivations of systems / environments / substrates.

thtimepeace.bandcamp.com

The project started originally with an idea of worldwide travelling alarm clock (=“there is still time”) in intention to generate sounds by recipient artists using actual art-object (transformed old alarm clock into little sound-sculpture / instrument) and then forwarded to another fellow artist. however this project unfortunately collapsed after single venture and then after a few years being in limbo in not very far land, came back here. since then the time-piece was recalibrated and posted for new adventure.

Currently, thetimepeace is attempting to accommodate simultaneously more projects dealing with cultivation of sound-environments and sound-organisms by manipulating the time and space from
initial “seeds” or “cells” of sounds.

alfa00 is project focused on the practice as transient ever-evolving
end-product. Telepathic bio-broadcast station dedicated to instant interception-emission experience: Telepathic Broadcast Station - Time Traveller's News.

(“I am listening to the music in the heart of creation itself. Always new - surprising - every single sound and silences in between, opening spaces and suspending time, hovering in infinity and instantly forgotten in the abyss of oblivion. The recording is only a feeble reminder-like note of things passed away and never coming back”)

After all, what is there more important than the ability to tune-in and connect together, all of us: human and non-human entities - equal citizens of Earth.

SEASON 2018-2019:

Free Sound Sanctuary
Until now, two permanent and multiple temporary Soundctuaries established: one public in Mountshannon harbour park and another one private in Cappaduff, both places now teeming with endemic and alien soundlife. Temporary soundctuaries were so far reported from
Whitegate, Portumna and Fanore on Atlantic coast, all in Clare in Ireland.

Associated website soundctuary.bandcamp.com
documents the richness of sound-population with aim to connect with local community (including school), looking for practical applications and introducing Mountshannon Soundctuary also as outdoors micro-gallery to display art artefacts and installations.

The Mission Statement of Ever-Expanding Realm of SOUNDCTUARY:
A vision of all-encompassing universe welcoming unconditionally all Sounds - regardless of origin, system of thinking and beliefs. Intention to explore and implement the idea of freedom, to enhance an awareness of human relationship with surrounding environment through practice of listening. A hope to create stimulating sensual, spiritual and aesthetic experience.
